Golden River

Love must have overflown with grace 

and poured out onto the earth 

a golden river

and now it's woven into our land 

the home to misery, toil and blood. 

Who would have guessed that our end 

was just a part of a bigger plan?

And many tried to put in tales 

the obvious truth that IT IS here

and many vowed to follow it 

then failed and slid down from a pier.

And there were some who at the banks 

sat down and listened to its waves 

"go up" it said "towards the source" 

and I will fill you with my grace.
